E-mail Set-up
If you have any specific question that were not covered in this message, please email support@spirit-international.net.
Q: What is a POP3 E-mail account?
A: POP3 (Post Office Protocol-version 3) E-mail boxes are mail accounts on servers which will hold E-mail addressed to your domain, such as You@Yourdomain.com, Sales@Yourdomain.ws, etc. You can retrieve and send your E-mail by using an E-mail program or Web browser program (such as Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator etc.) from your personal computer. Or you may also retrieve your E-mail via Web page - which allows you Web access to your E-mail from any computer in the world with Internet access.
Q: How do I setup my E-mail client for my E-mail Accounts?
A:
Q: What does "E-mail forwarding" mean?
A: Email forwarding means having messages sent to your POP account to be forwarded to your other E-mail box on your ISP or office network. Some clients find this convenient -- to log into one single E-mail account to retrieve and send E-mail.
Q: What is "E-mail aliasing"?
A: Aliases are a way of making one email account seem like many. This is called "unlimited aliasing". Suppose you are in charge of billing and marketing. Instead of making two individual accounts to handle these emails, you would make one account named You@Yourdomain.ws which is a valid POP account, at which you can send and receive mail.. Next you would apply Billing, and Marketing as aliases of the You@Yourdomain.ws account. With this setup, mail sent to any of the 3 above mentioned email accounts (Billing@Yourdomain.ws, Marketing@Yourdomain.ws and You@Yourdomain.ws) will all be sent to the mailbox of You@Yourdomain.ws.
Q: How do I send an automated response to incoming E-mail?
A: Autoresponders are messages that are automatically sent to anyone who sends an E-mail to your preset E-mail address. If you are out of office for a week, is a good idea to set the autoresponders to help you to reply to any E-mail received during this period -- informing that you would contact them in a later date. From the main menu of the user@Yourdomain.com account, on the pull-down menu you will find the "Edit Auto Response" selection. The first line will be the subject line and also the first line of the autoresponder message. Type in the message in the way you wish to have it formatted. Then save and it will be changed. If you wish the message recipient's e-mail (which was sent to request the autoresponder) to be forwarded to you at another e-mail address you can put the forwarding address in the E-mail box. Otherwise leave it blank.
Q: How do I create additional POP3 user accounts?
A: Log into your admin web based e-mail account manager using the following link and your username and password from your information sheet to manage your e-mail accounts: http://mail.yourdomainname.comUsername: admin@yourdomainname.comPassword: *******
From here you can administer your e-mail, which includes adding users and alias accounts. Please be sure to set up and delete your e-mail accounts under the "user administration" link in the pull-down menu. Each e-mail user may use the web based e-mail to access their new user account individually to check e-mail, change password, and also forward e-mail from each account to the user's regular e-mail account if they choose. Log in using the same link info and individual user info:http://mail.yourdomainname.comUsername: newuser@yourdomainname.comPassword: *******
